Specialist Trailer Axle Repairs
As you can see from picture the end of axle as damaged threads also bearing carriers have gone oval to complete this repair will require as follows
Cut of old damaged axle stub well prep axle tube
Machine up new axle stub to match axle tube with up to 100mm spigot insert
Interference fit new axle stub into axle tube poodle weld new stub in 3x positions around outer radius of axle tube weld well prep area of tube & stub
case harden of bearing carriers & hub shoulder
As you can see from pictures taken of the process quality is paramount.
